They don't refund you for suddenly falling way behind on development as they start to gain lots of customers. there's just a lot that comes from companies still being in their infancy, unfortunately.Īnd so it's a little bizarre to expect people to pay basically the same for their service as you would to companies that have already gotten through all of that and proven they can handle having a lot of customers.

They simply have less people available to add features with, catch & fix bugs, come up with new ideas, improve existing ideas, optimize performance (ex: speed, and efficiency), on and on.Īnd as their customer base grows, they can also struggle with keeping up with customer service as the small amount of personnel they have can struggle to keep up with the growing onslaught of questions and service requests from people. One of the big issues with really tiny development teams is these companies will always have a significantly harder time just barely keeping up with what everyone else is doing. It's nice they have a Lifetime offer, but even that isn't really competitive with much more established and highly developed products like pCloud who also offer that – you can get 2 TB Lifetime on pCloud for $245 when they run their promos on it 2-3x a year (Filen costs $290), and on pCloud you can get up to 10 TB in one go ( and could still add more). There's really little reason to go with them over way more established, developed services when it's barely a $0.83/mo difference in cost annually for 2 TB. Unfortunately their team is absolutely tiny though and their site only has 1 person listed as an actual developer. It's certainly got at least some people to look at their service.
They manipulate the guerilla "referral" tactic and just get away with it, lol.
They have 3 employees, and 2 of those are marketing employees – that definitely shows. They spam the living sh*t out of this sub, as we've all seen.
